Before you actually start speaking, visualize the words that you want to use.

Talk slower that what you are use to. This gives you time to focus and control your speech before you actually start talking.

Take a deep breath before you say a really big word. If possible try breaking the word into smaller pieces, so that you do not get struck with one word.

Try chewing on something while you are speaking as this might help.

Consider whispering or yelling when you talk. Other people might be annoyed by this but it really does work.

Holding your breath while speaking is a big mistake; this will only make the condition worse. You want to be able to speak when you exhale.

Consider relaxation techniques. Calm your nerves before you start speaking. Find a way to calm down.

Relax and speak slower. This will help you speak in a relaxed manner.

Don’t try speaking a very big sentence at one stretch. Break things down so that they are easier to say.
